On the agenda

Dear Blanca,
Forget celebrities. It's time to make the humble sweet potato famous.
Why? Because every hour around 400 children die from a lack of nutrition. But the orange sweet potato packs a huge vitamin A punch, and it's saving lives in Africa today. It's a great start, and there are others like it, but we really need our leaders to step up and fight for good nutrition.

ONE's petition reads:
Dear world leaders,
Please make measurable commitments to reduce chronic malnutrition for 25 million kids by 2016 so they can reach their full potential.
As a dad, it's crazy to hear that over 170 million children are chronically malnourished. These kids aren't given a fair shot at life. If they manage to survive, they'll have a harder time in school, harder time finding a job - this affects them for the rest of their lives.
But the sweet potato's success in Africa is proof that something small can totally change the world.
Sign ONE's petition now – let's put sweet potatoes on the menu and nutrition on the agenda.
